245 suspected criminals, prostitutes arrested in Kumasi

The police in Ashanti Region have arrested 245 suspected criminals and sex workers at various criminal dens in the Kumasi. Joy News’ reporter Nana Yaw Gyimah said the suspects are being screened for processing before a court. The Regional Police Command has explained the exercise forms part of its strategies to rid the metropolis of criminals. Regional Police chief, COP Ken Yeboah told the media Thursday, the operation was the biggest swoop ever done in the metropolis. He said 35 female suspects believed to be commercial sex workers have been handed over to the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit for further investigations. 'Save My Ink Forever' Allows Families To Keep Tattooed Skin Of Loved Ones After Death

Many of us keep mementoes of loved ones who’ve died, from letters they wrote to jewellery with sentimental meaning. But given the chance, would you opt to keep a tattoo from someone after they’ve passed away? A team of funeral directors have launched a business allowing family members to keep the tattooed skin of the deceased and display it as art. Since launching last year, Save My Ink Forever has had hundreds of customers in the US and is now hoping to extend its client base overseas. The business is ran by Kyle Sherwood along with his father Mike and another friend, who’s also a funeral embalmer. The trio came up with the idea after a casual chat with friends in the funeral business about post-death keepsakes. The Black Starlets recovered from a defeat to the United States to beat host nation India 4-0 to book a place in the next round of the on-going FIFA under 17 FIFA World Cup. A brace from Captain Eric Ayiah and a goal each from substitutes Danso and Toku were all Ghana needed to end India’s World Cup dreams. The host nation started the game brightly, pinning Ghana to the wall but the Starlets stood their ground to ensure that their defensive line wasn’t breached. Ghana grew into the game and created some decent openings but the frontline led by captain Ayiah could not make the best out of the numerous chances created. Ghana had the breakthrough on the stroke of half-time when Eric Ayiah pounced on a rebound to register his first goal of the tournament.
